Following the profound silence of Nyepi, Bali enters a season of spiritual “re-awakening.” In April, the island celebrates two of its most significant pillars of wisdom: Saraswati, the day of knowledge and art, and Pagerwesi, the day of spiritual fortification.

A few days after Saraswati comes Pagerwesi, literally meaning “Iron Fence.” It is a day to protect the knowledge we have gained and build a strong foundation. This represents our Stewardship.
